FIBRA DE ACERO - En tiempos de Guerra Review

FIBRA DE ACERO - En tiempos de Guerra
Sepulchral Silence
We will stay in Latin America and move to Chile this time. The band I will present TO you here is FIBRA DE ACERO and it was created in 2014. Since then the band has passed through a lot OF lineup changes, but if I am not mistaken they did their first live gig in 2015. This is their debut album, which has the originality to be a live recording with only the exceptions being the last two songs which were recorded in a studio.

The band as it claims is inspired by epic battles, wars and invasions and they describe their sound as war metal. Well, I suppose it is a quite accurate description, especially if you consider the lyrical themes of the songs.

The band’s sound is raw and allows me to use the characterization “barbaric”. There are moments when they strongly flirt with speed and thrash metal, but mostly their sound moves on the fields of traditional epic metal. Someone might find their riffs and melodies simplistic, but for me they work just fine and fit to the whole sound and image of the band. If you ask me the band musically is influenced by groups like OMEN, MANILLA ROAD, EXCITER and even SACRED STEEL.

It is true that we are used to listening to crystal clear digital productions and the raw live sound of this album might sound strange to some of you, but if you are into the true and epic metal sound, then you will find here another promising and talented band that will satisfy your needs for war and blood…

This is not a release for the masses, but for those who are into true metal, so if you consider yourself a true metal warrior, check them out….
